On Monday, May 4, at 08:00, the Greek Public Employment Service (DYPA) launches the application process for its Social Tourism Programme for pensioners liberal professionals (f. OAEE). The deadline to apply ends on 13/05/2026, at 23:59.

Beneficiaries under this scheme are e-EFKA - f. OAEE pensioners who are have paid a contribution of €1 for this particular allowance (par. 5, art. 69, L. 3863/2010).

Applications must be submitted exclusively online at:

Path: Home – Employment and Insurance – Compensations and Benefits – Social Tourism Programme for e-EFKA pensioner (f. OAEE).

The programme will last for 13 moths (expected to start 01.06.2026). The total action budget amounts to €3 m. and in total 25.000 vouchers will be granted.

The voucher is a unique number for each beneficiary and dependant /companion, allowing them to stay for up to 6 nights at an accommodation of their choice listed in DYPA's "Providers Register", following prior arrangements with the respective provider and paying a small contribution.

Particularly, in the islands of Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos, Samos and Rhodes beneficiaries may stay for up to 10 nights free of charge (i.e. zero private contribution); while in the municipalities of Northern Evia, Evros, and Thessaly beneficiaries can stay for up to 12 nights free of charge (Sporades islands excluded).

Subsidy rates increase by 20% during the peak month of August and the holiday periods of Christmas (15/12/2026 – 14/012027) and Easter (23/04/2027 – 09/05/2027). The increased subsidy is valid year-round for accommodations in Northern Evia, Evros, and Thessaly (Sporades islands are excluded).

In addition to accommodation, ferry tickets are also subsidized. Beneficiary participation is 25%, while tickets are free of charge for Persons with Disabilities.

Beneficiary selection is based on a point system including specific criteria (PWD, single parents, number of children, income level, first-time participation or non-participation in the last two programmes due to low ranking), using objective and transparent criteria through DYPA’s Integrated Information System (OPS).

For the first time this year multi-child families are excluded from the point system and can apply, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

Individuals receiving social tourism vouchers from another organisation for the same period cannot participate.

Programme providers are tourist accommodations and ferry companies.

Providers must apply from 04/05/2026 to 20/0582026 via gov.gr at:
