Applications for 300,000 Social Tourism Vouchers by DYPA begin
Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, 21 April at 08:00, the Greek Public Employment Service (DYPA) launches the application process for its "Social Tourism Programme for Employees and Unemployed persons 2026-2027”.
Beneficiaries can start applying according to the last digit of their Tax Identification Number (AFM), as follows:
Last digit of AFM: 0 - Tuesday, 21.04.2026
Last digit of AFM: 1, 2 - Wednesday, 22.04.2026
Last digit of AFM: 3, 4 - Thursday, 23.04.2026
Last digit of AFM: 5, 6 - Friday, 24.04.2026
Last digit of AFM: 7, 8, 9 - Saturday, 25.04.2026
All AFMs – Sunday, 26.04.2026
The programme is going to start on May 18 2026, earlier than ever before, and will last for 13 months granting 300.000 vouchers with a total budget of €50 m.
Using the voucher, which is a unique number for each beneficiary and dependant, beneficiaries can stay for up to 6 nights at the accommodation of their choice listed in DYPA's "Providers Register", following prior arrangements with the respective provider and paying a small contribution.
Particularly, in the islands of Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos, Samos and Rhodes beneficiaries may stay for up to 10 nights free of charge (i.e. zero private contribution); while in the municipalities of Northern Evia, Evros, and Thessaly beneficiaries can stay for up to 12 nights free of charge (Sporades islands excluded).
Subsidy rates increase by 20% during the peak month of August and the holiday periods of Christmas (15/12/2026 – 14/012027) and Easter (23/04/2027 – 09/05/2027). The increased subsidy is valid year-round for accommodations in Northern Evia, Evros, and Thessaly (Sporades islands are excluded).
In addition to accommodation, ferry tickets are also subsidized. Beneficiary participation is 25%, while tickets are free of charge for Persons with Disabilities.
Beneficiaries are:
Employees in a dependent private employment relationship,persons insured with e-EFKA for private-sector employment in their occupational category, with DYPA unemployment insurance contributions, at any time in the 12-month period prior to the end of the application deadline orunemployed persons, registered in DYPA’s Digital Register for at least three (3) continuous months by the application deadline,
Beneficiaries must also meet the following income criteria: up to €16,000 for single individuals; up to €24,000 for married couples, plus €5,000 for each dependent child; up to €29,000 for single-parent households, plus €5,000 for each additional child after the first.

Beneficiary selection is based on a point system including specific criteria (PWD, single parents, number of children, income level, first-time participation or non-participation in the last two programmes due to low ranking), using objective and transparent criteria through DYPA’s Integrated Information System (OPS).
For the first time this year multi-child families are excluded from the point system and can apply provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
Employees and unemployed individuals receiving social tourism vouchers from another organisation for the same period, as well those who received a voucher in the 2025-2026 programme (except for PWD and multi-child families), cannot participate in this programme.
