Skills and Interconnection of Labour Force with the Labour Market

In the framework of the European Vocational Skills Week (23-27 October 2023), DYPA organised the event "Skills and Interconnection of the Labour Force with the Labour Market" in the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Culture Centre (SNFCC).

DYPA Governor and Head of the National Skills Council, Spiros Protopsaltis, also presented the updated "National Skills Strategy" in the presence of the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Adonis Georgiadis.

During the event a comprehensive update on the European Year of Skills 2023 was offered, the actions to promote lifelong learning and the acquisition and upgrading of skills were presented and the critical role of vocational education and training (VET) in strengthening innovation and competitiveness of the economy was also highlighted.

Furthermore, students and trainees from the Apprenticeship Vocational Schools (EPAS), the Vocational Training Institutes (IEK) and training programmes of DYPA spoke about their experience and awards.
