Pre-work programme for 3.000 unemployed aged 18-29 in the Western Macedonia and Peloponnese due to the lignite phase-out

Special business subsidy programme aimed at hiring 3.000 unemployed people aged 18-29, formerly working in businesses affected by the lignite phase-out in the Regions of Western Macedonia and the Peloponnese

Objective

The action concerns the opening of 3.000 pre-work positions. The application starting date is set by a Public Call until the allocated positions are covered or the action budget is exhausted. The start and end dates of the applications are published via press releases and are posted on the DYPA and the NSRF websites (www.dypa.gov.gr and www.espa.gr respectively).

Eligible businesses

Private businesses, social and solidarity economy (SSE) entities, businesses, institutions, public organisations, as stipulated by article 51, Law 1892/1990 (Α’ 101) as applicable and to municipal/ regional authority enterprises, regularly engaging in economic activity, in the Regions of Western Macedonia and Peloponnese (Municipalities of Megalopoli, Tripoli, Gortynia, Sparta, Oichalia, Kalamata).

Beneficiaries

Beneficiaries of the action are 3.000 young unemployed persons aged eighteen (18) to twenty-nine (29), graduates of any level of education who participate in vocational training programme and are employed in any way at the time of their referral by the local KPA2 and for the whole duration of the pre-work programme. Unemployed persons must be under the age of 30 when signing the collaboration contract between provider/ business.
