DYPA Apprenticeship EPAS: The future of Vocational Education

DYPA’s Governor, Spiros Protopsaltis, welcomed the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance, Adonis Georgiadis, at the Heraklion DYPA EPAS premises, along with DYPA’s Deputy Governor, Gianna Hormova.

During the visit, the Greek Labour Minister was briefed about the new DYPA EPAS fields of study / specialties, which were updated within the context of promoting and developing digital and green skills. Moreover, the EPAS students were given the chance to engage in discussions with the visitors regarding their learning experiences at the DYPA EPAS.

The Minister also discussed with DYPA’s Governor and Deputy Governor the role of the Greek Public Employment Service in the key sector of Vocational Education and the effective integration of young people into the labour market.

Special emphasis was placed on the upgrading of DYPA’s educational units, including the updating of their curricula, the energy- and operation-related improvement of their premises (with RRF funding), and the collaboration with leading companies in order to ensure that studies are linked to the needs of the labour market and, consequently, to the rapid placement of graduates in secure quality jobs.
