General information

1. The "Coverage" housing assistance program is established, which utilizes private homes that had been allocated for housing applicants for international protection within the framework of the "ESTIA II" program of No. 13348/2.4.2020 joint decision of the Ministers of Development and Investments and of Immigration and Asylum (B' 1199) and of the "ESTIA 2021" program of the joint decision no. 270/2.2.2021 of the Ministers of Development and Investments and Immigration and Asylum (B' 451), after the expiration of the lease agreements which were concluded as part of these programs for the housing of vulnerable social groups.
2. The beneficiaries of the program are people aged twenty-five (25) to thirty-nine (39), who are included in the beneficiary units of article 2 of the under data D13/ok.53923 /23.7.2021 joint decision of the Ministers of Finance, Education and Religion, Labor and Social Affairs, Interior, Digital Governance and State (B' 3359).
3. The program covers the cost of renting the residence for three (3) years. The expense may not exceed the rental amount with which the residence was allocated within the framework of the "ESTIA II" and "ESTIA 2021" programs, adjusted according to the change in the average annual general consumer price index of the Hellenic Statistical Authority for the year 2022. The program also covers costs for repairs of damages found in the properties during the lease and at the end of the lease.
4. The cost of financing the Program is covered by the budget of the Public Employment Service.
5. The program is announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The management of the program is assigned by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to a body of the General Government. For its implementation, partnership is allowed, through a planning contract, with local self-government organizations of first and second degree.
